A first consultation with the patient covers in detail the topics on: the wish for surgery in view of body-harmony, applied surgery-techniques and possibilities, risks of surgery, types of anaesthetics, the stay, follow-up treatment and costs of the desired operation. In a second consultation the surgery will be planned.
Moreover a written education as well as a photo-documentation follows. The anesthesiologist will also explain the type of anaesthetic to the patient. For ambulant operations the patient’s admission takes place the same day. For stationary operations the patient is free to choose to either come in the day before surgery or the same day.
