Just like the upper eyelids, the lower eye lids suffer from loss of skin-elasticity in time. On top of skin sagging a warping of fatty tissue like tear sacs becomes evident. Before the surgery I will sketch on the lower eyelid. The incision lies at the lash line which practically makes the scar unnoticeable.
Depending on excess fat tissue (tear sacs) these will be either removed or redistributed, the skin will only sparingly be removed compared to the upper eyelid correction to avoid a drag-down of the lower eyelid line. On request I will perform the surgery either under local or short anaesthesia.
